NZ cricketer Jimmy Neesham gives hilarious reply to Pakistani fan’s dinner invitation

New Zealand cricketer Jimmy Neesham whisked away to Canada to enjoy some time off, almost a couple of weeks after his side lost to hosts England in a controversial World Cup final.
Perhaps making his first visit to the North American country, the 28-year-old found himself in a tricky situation as he struggled to find a place to dine out in.
But why worry in the age of social media. “Anybody have any recommendations for nice spots in Toronto for dinner/beers? Thinking rooftop bar maybe, nice views etc etc. Many thanks,” Neesham wrote to his 156K followers on Twitter.
While there were a couple of ignorable suggestions like ‘search on google’ and ‘ask [Canadian tennis player] Eugenie Bouchard and go out on a date with her’, there was another one that caught the all-rounder’s attention.
“Come Pakistan… We will serve you delicious food. Pakistani Biryani is best dish all over the world,” one Pakistani fan wrote, much to the amusement of Neesham.
“Probably a bit too far to go for dinner tonight mate,” the cricketer replied.
Fair enough, isn’t it?
