Zimbabwe took revenge in 2nd ODI at Sharjah

Zimbabwe cricket team was once regarded as the rising power in international cricket but later, their failed to show good performance which was also failed to impress the audiences. So, they were demoted on the ranking. Now, they are competing with some new born cricket team in the World where one of them is Afghanistan cricket team. According to the latest news, team Zimbabwe and Afghanistan are in dual competition which are taking place at United Arab Emirates. UAE is regarded as the home venue of Afghanistan cricket team now where both teams already played a T20I series. Now, they are in the ODI series and in the second match it seems that Zimbabwe took revenge in 2nd ODI at Sharjah against Afghanistan.

Zimbabwe took revenge in 2nd ODI at Sharjah

Earlier, this two low rated cricket team where in schedule to play a T20I series which consisted of two matches. Afghanistan won the series by winning both two matches against Zimbabwe. Now, they have started the ODI series which consists of five matches. In the first match, Afghanistan started the series with a big victory but in the second ODI, Zimbabwe showed their strength. They proved that they could be dangerous. In first ODI, Afghanistan gave Zimbabwe target of 333 runs and Zimbabwe failed to chase it. In the second match, the things was changed completely.

Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah was the host venue where in 11th February, 2018 this two teams faced against each other in the 2nd ODI. Earlier that Zimbabwe won the toss and opted to bat first. It was like the first match where Afghanistan won the toss and took the same decision. However, Zimbabwe made a great start by coming to bat. They scored 333 runs totally by losing five wickets. Brendan Taylor made a brilliant century who scored 125 runs. He played total 121 balls. He played a big innings in the match. Rashid Khan who is a top rated bowler of Afghan team took two wickets only. Later, Afghanistan started to chase the big score but like the 1st match, they finished their innings scoring 179 runs. They played total 30.1 overs. Their run rate was very good but could not hold the wickets. Dawlat Zadran scored highest 47 runs by facing 29 balls. Graeme Cremer took highest four wickets by bowling 5.1 overs. He was an expensive bowler in the match but took wickets so far. Brendan Taylor was provided as the player of the match award later. So, after finishing two ODIs, now the competition has made an even. Both teams won one match each.
