It’s no secret that Virat Kohli’s batting skills are enough to send chills down the spine of opposition bowlers.

But on Saturday, the Indian captain adapted a different role as he rolled his arm over during the four-day practice match against Cricket Australia XI in Sydney.

With the home team cruising at 454-6, Kohli decided to take the matter in his own hands, and guess what? He took a wicket.

Kohli, who bowls medium pace, pitched one short to Harry Nielsen (100), who didn’t time it well, as Umesh Yadav made no mistake standing at mid on.

And if Kohli’s celebrations were anything to go by, he didn’t seem himself striking with the ball.

He burst into laughter, exchanged pats with his Nielsen before going on to celebrate with his teammates.

Cricket Australia XI went on to score 544 runs, taking a 186-run lead. India, in second innings, amassed 211-2 as the match ended in a draw.
