Warwickshire got a big victory

Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire are the two teams in ongoing Royal London One Day Cup 2018 and now, both teams are standing on almost same platform. In the ongoing season of Royal London tournament, the performance of both teams are very poor indeed. Nottinghamshire is a reputed franchise team in the tournament which has won two matches only. They have played total five matches and the inaugural match of the team, they faced defeat. Though, among five matches, one match was abandoned due to rain. In their last match, Warwickshire got a big victory against them.

Now, let’s see the details of Warwickshire. Team Warwickshire is very popular in the tournament. In 2016, the last time took the title of Royal London One Day Cup tournament. IN that case, defending champion Nottinghamshire is one step ahead of them. They won the last season title but in the recent season, they are so dim. Warwickshire has played total four matches in the season and among them, they managed two victories. We can consider one match which was also ended with no result.

However, the last match between Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire took place in 27th May, 2018. However, the host ground was Trent Bridge, Nottingham. For the host team, Matthew Carter and Jack Blatherwick made their List A debut through the match.

Earlier the match, Warwickshire came to bat by winning the toss. Ed Pollock and Jonathan Trott started the innings for Warwickshire. In 5 runs opener Trott was gone. In the 2nd wicket partnership between opener and Sam Hain, they added almost 80 runs when Ed Pollock was gone with individual 56 runs. In the 3rd wicket partnership, they added almost 100 runs so far. Bell scored 41 runs and Sam scored highest 72 runs so far. Besides, two players Adam Hose and Tim Ambrose scored 51 and 38 runs respectively. By playing complete 50 overs team Warwickshire scored 295 runs in exchange for nine wickets.

New bower Matthew Carter took four wickets highest where Samit Patel and Jake Ball took two wickets each for Nottinghamshire.

In just 4 runs two openers of Nottinghamshire were gone. Nash and Riki were the two players who scored 3 and 1 run respectively. But in the 2rd wicket partnership, they added almost 60 runs. Since then they started to play carefully. Tom scored 33 runs and Ross Taylor scored 56 runs so far. rest four players touched two figure runs but their score was so mere. Samit scored 19 runs, captain Steven scored 15 runs, Root scored 16 runs and Luke scored another 16 runs so far. In 38.5 overs team Nottinghamshire lost all wickets and scored 187 runs only.
