Virender Sehwag has always been a bundle of surprises; be it with the bat, or his maverick approach. Having announced his retirement from international cricket recently, he was felicitated ahead of the Delhi Test between India and South Africa on Thursday, where he sprung up another surprise.

During his speech at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, Sehwag opened up on his on-field journey as a cricketer, and also his plans about the post-retirement life. However, what stood out was his expectation from his young ones.

The 37-year-old proclaimed that he will gift his sons a Ferrari car, but on a ‘small’ condition: they have to get the better of their father’s personal best score of 319 runs at any level of the sport. The declaration was made in presence of his two sons, along with his wife and mother.

It remains to be seen whether or not Sehwag juniors would get a Ferrari anytime soon!
