India Test captain and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper at the Indian Premier League (IPL), Virat Kohli was in his usual self and lost his cool on on-field umpire Kumar Dharmasena during RCB’s match with the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Apparently, Kohli was frustrated with the match umpires, when SRH were allowed to bat on in the last two overs of the rain-curtailed 11-overs-a-side match. He, then, got involved in a vibrant confrontation with the Sri Lankan umpire, questioning him on not to pause the match due to consistent but soft drizzle.

Everything was going fine until the end of 9th over of the first innings, when rain started pouring again. That’s when Kohli along with wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik got into loggerheads with the umpire over their decision to continue the match, despite the pitch getting drenched.

Subsequently, the other umpire on field, Anil Chaudhary, had to play the role of a peacemaker to sort the heat out in the middle. The match was, however, resumed without any delay in spite of the 26-year-old’s intent to bring a halt to the match due to light downpour.

Kohli, ultimately, led his team to a convincing win over SRH in the late-night affair on Friday here.
