VIDEO: Shane Watson, Imam-ul-Haq involved in heated clash during PSL final
Tempers flared during the Pakistan Super League final between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators on Sunday as Shane Watson and Imam-ul-Haq were involved in a heated confrontation.
Early in the second innings, Quetta opener Watson was run out by Umar Amin as he fell well short of the crease in an attempt to steal a single.
Peshwar’s Imam was so pumped up that he gave a send off to Watson, much to the dismay of the latter.
Even as Watson showed displeasure, the 23-year-old Imam continued to show the way to the Australian senior.
Twitter users were quick to criticize Imam.
When you invite guests to your home, don't treat them like this. Poor from Imam-ul-Haq to give Shane Watson a send-off when he was out #PSLFinal pic.twitter.com/EhzG4VLpkN

“What is to imam ul haq? Is he high or what?” one user wrote.
“Someone please teach Imam ul haq to control his attitude. Teach him how to respect foreign player,” another one added.
Watson, however, was the happy man at the end of the day as his team went on to chase the 139-run target with eight wickets in hand.
The 37-year-old was adjudged the player of the tournament and batsman of the tournament.
