VIDEO: English cricketer Will Jacks smacks fastest-ever 25-ball ton

20-year-old Englishman Will Jacks broke into sudden limelight after cracking the fastest-ever century across all formats.
Playing for Surrey against Lancashire in a T10 contest, Jacks smashed hundred off just 25 balls. In the process, he also bludgeoned six sixes in an over, with left-arm spinner Stephen Parry being the unlucky bowler.
Jacks, who completed his half-century in 14 balls, went on to amass 105 off 30 balls to bolster Surrey to 176-3 in just 10 overs.
It being a pre-season fixture though, Jacks’ exploits didn’t earn him an official record.
“From the first ball I just tried to play my shots,” he later told the International Cricket Council.
“After the first few overs my intention was to try and hit every ball for six, and I think after four sixes I thought, ‘I could hit six sixes here’.
“I’d never done it before and it was nice to do that and something I will cherish.”
Although Jacks is still in his early days, the national T20 selectors must sure be keeping an eye on him.
