VIDEO: Andre Russell announces he’s set to become father in grand style
There’s nothing Andre Russell doesn’t do it his usual flamboyant way.
The West Indies cricketer hit another six – this time off the field though – as he announced he’s set to become a father for the first time.
Russell, who is married to Jassym Lora, took to his official Instagram account to make a stylish announcement, revealing the gender of his child.
In the video posted to his 2 million followers, Russell smashed a pink colour-filled ball bowled by his lady love, confirming they are expecting a baby girl.
“So it’s #GIRL another blessing in my life it didn’t matter if it was a girl or a boy, all am asking God for is a healthy baby #babyrussell,” the 31-year-old captioned the clip.
Russell’s compatriots were quick to pour in with wishes.
“Where was my invitation? Congrats bro… another lucky girl,” Chris Gayle commented.
Carlos Brathwaite wrote: “Wishing a safe pregnancy and successful delivery.”
“Congratulations champ wishing the wifey a healthy pregnancy @ar12russell,” former captain Darren Sammy penned.
And Samuel Badree summed it up, saying: “Girls rule the world bro…blessings.”
