Riding on stellar batting performances from James Taylor and Jos Buttler, England stormed into the finals of the ongoing triangular series Down Under, following a 3-wicket conquest of India at Perth on Friday.

India 200 (48.1)

Earlier, skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and decided to field first, which ultimately proved to be the right decision as the Indians got bundled out for a paltry 200-run total in the first innings. Except opener Ajinkya Rahane (73), no other batman could prove lethal.

For England, the fast-bowlers got a lot of bounce and carry on the lively WACA pitch. Consequently Steven Finn took 3 wickets, while Chris Woakes and Stuart Broad also had a couple of scalps.

England 201-7 (46.5)

In response, England failed to hold on to the pressure of the vivacious conditions, eventually being reduced to 66-5 in 20 overs, before Taylor (82) and Buttler (67) paired up for a glorious 125-run stand that got their work done.

By the virtue of this win, England will lock horns with Australia in the Sunday’s title-clash, while India will look to get their homework done ahead of the World Cup 2015.
