Titans lost by 89 runs

Titans is the most successful team in CSA T20 Challenge which is one of the oldest franchise team that used to participate in every season of CSA T20 Challenge since the beginning. They are also most potential team and have the maximum possibility to win the title this season. They have already played 10 matches and managed six victories. They lost twice times and two matches were abandoned. Now, in their last match against Dolphins, Titans lost by 89 runs.

It was the last group stage match of both Titans and Dolphins.

Titans is on the top position on the point table now and Dolphins is in 2nd position. They just managed three victories but five matches of the team Dolphins were abandoned and so, the point was divided.

However, their last match was staged in 10th December, 2017 at Kingsmead Cricket Ground, Durban where Dolphins won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 168 runs in 20 overs and in the meantime, they lost seven wickets. Morne van Wyk scored highest 67 runs for the team Dolphins. In return, Titans got packet in 19.4 overs. They scored 79 runs and so, they were lost by 89 runs so far.

It was the second match between the two teams but first one which was provided a conclusion. Earlier in 24th November, 2017 their first head to head battle was abandoned due to rain where Titans won the toss and decided to field first.

Came to bat, Dolphins opened their innings with Jaarsveld and Van Wyk. Openers did their job well. They added 66 runs on the scorecard. Jaarsveld was out with 28 runs. In 2nd wicket partnership between Wyk and Vilas, they added almost same runs. Vilas was gone with 29 runs. Skipper Zondo was also good and added few runs. Top four batsmen played well where Wyk scored highest 67 runs. Rest players did not able to score two figure runs. In selected 20 overs, Dolphins scored 168 runs.

In return, Titans players did not able to settle down in front of the opponent bowlers. In 11 runs, they lost three wickets. Just three players did score two figure runs which were captain Klaasen scored 10 runs, Moonsamy scored 15 runs and Shamsi scored 15 runs so far. Basically, Titans did not use their best eleven because they already qualified for the knockout round. Prenelan Subrayen took highest two wickets for Titans.
