The Tigers tied Sri Lanka 1st innings in 338 runs in 2nd Test

Facing a heartbroken defeat against the Lions in the first Test, the Tigers has already started the 2nd Test against the Lions yesterday.In the first day of the match, the Tigers bowlers did their job very well and took seven wickets of the Lions. Though, they failed to take all wickets but able to tie the Lions innings within short score. However, the Tigers started the second day of the match with hurry and tried hard to take rest three wickets but they did not succeed as well. The Lions batsman Chandimal fought very well and took a century and as a result, the Tigers finally took rest wickets just before the lunch break when the Lions scored total 338 runs in their first innings.

However, according to the last news, the Tigers started to bat for the first innings and lost already one wicket Tamim with 49 runs. Team score is 95 runs where Soumya still of the crease with 40 runs. They started to play very carefully where Tamim also made number of boundaries.

The Tigers started the second day of the second test to take rest three Lankan wickets quickly but with times, the disappointment increased. Along with Herath and Lakmal, Chandimal made consecutive two partnership in the second day. But after breaking this two partnership, the Tigers was suffered by Lakmal in the last wicket. Their last wicket partnership added almost 33 runs. Team Bangladesh could not take all wickets within two hours but the innings finally finished before the lunch break.

Sri Lanka lost their four wickets by scoring 70 runs in the first day of the second test. Later, finished first day in 190 runs. Since there, they finished their innings in 338 runs which was so amazing and a great achievement. Chandimal played the major role with his 138 runs.

However, this is the last test between two teams in this visit where later, they are scheduled to play three ODI matches and two T20I matches. So, the Lions won already one match and if they able to draw the match or win, the Test series will be won by them. So, to avoid series defeat, the Tigers need to win the match at any cost.
