The match between West India and Zimbabwe A finished with draw

Since couple of days, West Indies cricket team has played a three days warm up match against the A team of Zimbabwe. It was just a practice match before getting into the main competition. Yesterday, the 3rd day of the match was gone and The match between West India and Zimbabwe A finished with draw. Earlier, Windies team came to bat by winning the toss. They scored 337 runs in their first innings and let Zimbabwe A team to chase it. Zimbabwe got all out by scoring just 143 runs. In return, Windies came to bat for the 2nd innings and added more 263 runs to the scoreboard and declared the innings. But they could not take the all wickets of the Zimbabwe A team in the second innings and so, the match finished with drawn.

However, earlier yesterday, West Indies started to bat in the 3rd and final day of the warm up match. Brathwaite was the one opener but scored just 2 runs and got out. Later, Powell and Hope started to bat and make a reliable partnership of 125 runs. Both of them took retired out where Powell scored 77 runs and Hope scored 61 runs for the team. Blackwood and Dowrich came up and tried to make another partnership but Blackwood got out so early with his 25 runs. Dowrich finished with unbeaten. In the second innings, they did not have to add more runs because they were still much runs ahead in the first innings. So, by losing five wickets, Windies team scored 263 runs and declared the innings. For Zimbabwe A team, Masuku, Chinouya and Burl took one wicket each.

Finally, in front of Zimbabwe A there was a huge runs to chase and they realised that they could not able to chase such big score. At least not so quickly. So, they made their decision and wasting times to make the match draw. But Windies bowlers tried hard and heard. But the time was short. Opening breakthrough was made in just 10 runs. Within regular gaps, Zimbabwe started to lose wickets. FInally, at the end of the 3rd day, Zimbabwe A team managed a draw against West Indies by losing four wickets. Chibhabha scored highest 24 runs for the team. Cummins, Bishoo, Reifer and Gabriel took one wicket each for the West Indies team. However, the warm up schedule has finished and now they are ready to play the official Test series. The first Test will start in next 21st October, 2017.
