T20 series between India and Australia finished with draw

Australia is currently finished their tour in India after washed out the 3rd T20I match between them. So, now T20 series between India and Australia finished with draw. India won the first T20 and Australia won the 2nd match. Third T20 was the deciding match but due to rain, the match was abandoned and the T20I series between them finished with drawn.

However, team Australia has travelled India to play a ODI and T20I series against Men in Blues. And they have started their competition with ODI matches. The Australian player Steve Smith was the skipper in ODI competition but unable to play in T20I series and so, David Warner played the skipper role is the twenty twenty series. The ODI tournament consisted of five matches where India won the first three matches and secured the series. Australia just won 4th ODI but lost in 5th ODI as well. So, the ODI series ended up with 4 – 1 result. By facing a ODI series defeat, team Australia was desperate to win the T20 series against India but however, lost the first T20 match which was staged at Ranchi by D/L method.

In the first T20 match, India won the toss and let Australia to bat first. But team Australia could not do better in first batting and their top and middle orders were completely failed. In 18.4 overs, Australia scored 118 runs by losing 8 wickets so far. Basically, in India, to beat them would be so tough for even top ranked team. India knew their ground very well and they had very strong batting line up. So, to beat them Australia should present big totals but they failed. So, India easily scored 49 runs in 5.3 overs and considering D/L methods, they were declared winner of the game.

In second T20 match which was staged in Guwahati, Australia won the toss and elected to field first. They did not want to make any mistake and applied what they learned from India. Their bowlers destroyed India’s top orders and no one could stand for long. Jadhav scored highest 27 runs for the team. In selected 20 overs, India scored just 118 runs by losing all wickets. For Aussie team, Behrendorff took four wickets so far. 118 runs was seems easy for Australia and in T20 match, it was a mere total. But the openers of team Australia was failed completely but rest two players left the field with victory. So, series was become an even with 1 – 1 and last match was so important for Australia but cancelled and trophy is shared finally.
