Sydney Sixers jumped to BBL final after super over thrill

After so many speculation, Sydney Sixers has moved to the final of 6th season of BBL. They have defeated the most strongest opponent Brisbane heat in 2nd semi final which was staged yesterday. The match was being tied but later, Sixers has achieved the glorious victory through the super over. Brisbane Heat scored 167 runs by first batting and came to chase, Sixers also scored the same runs at the end of the 20 overs. So, the match went to the super over. Sixers scored 22 runs in one over and Brisbane Heat failed to chased it where they took 15 runs in one over. So, Sixers moved to the final for the second time in BBL history.

In 25th January, 2017, the second semi final was staged at the Gabba where Sydney Sixers won the toss and decided to field first. However, Brisbane Heat could not make a fast start but scored only 24 runs in three overs when they lost their first wicket Peirson. Within next six runs, they lost their second wicket Heazlett with his individual 0 run. Just McCullum stood strong and scored highest 46 runs in 27 balls and Wildermuth scored 29 which was the second highest runs. Sixers has still the very strong bowling lineup and the maintained the line and length yesterday. At the end of the first 20 overs, Brisbane Heat scored 167 runs by losing nine wickets so far. Abbott and Lyon took highest four wickets each.

167 rus was about to an enough target but in that field, according last ten matches average, the minimum score of first batting team was almost 179 runs. According to that calculation, Heat had to score some more runs and due to fail to do this, they faced a heartbroken defeat.

Came to bat, Sixers lost their first wicket when their team score was just 3 and lost 2nd wickets in 34 runs. But late, Hughes and skipper Henriques made a partnership which added almost 100 runs to the score board. But however, they could not chased the run but drawn the match by scoring just 167 runs by losing 8 wickets. Without Hughes and Henriques, no players could stand for a bit longer. Besides, all bowlers of Brisbane Heat bowled very well. Steketee took highest two wickets so far.

So, the match was tied and the result came out by one over eliminator process. So, after many times, Sydney Sixers has come to the final again.
