Though, Sydney Sixers started the new BBL 2016/17 season by destroying the defending champion Sydney Thunder in the inaugural match of the tournament but the most sorrowful news is that they lost their second match against Hobart Hurricanes. Though, the match was hosted Sydney Cricket Ground which is used as the home arena of Sixers. They lost the game with a great difference where Hurricanes gave them target of 200 runs but Sixers were being all out by making only 140 runs in 16.2 overs. However, the match is long gone and now, they are looking forward to their next meeting against Perth Scorchers and the match will be staged in 27th December, 2016 and will be their home match as well. So, they are desperate to bounce back in their next game at home.

One thing they should remember that Perth Scorchers would not be an easy opponent to defeat because they also started the season by defeating Adelaide Strikers in the inaugural match round 2. In the match, Adelaide won the toss and wanted to field but they failed to utilize their decision. So, Scorchers made a huge runs of 197 by playing twenty overs where Ian Bell scored 61 from 42 balls. Strikers only made 149 runs by losing nine wickets finally.

Besides, Scorchers has got some very potential Twenty 20 expert players in their squad like Bell, Marsh and some others and they should be easily handled. And obviously Sixers should play according to their highest capability and try to use their home ground facilities. Then perhaps, they would be able to win the match.
