Sydney Sixers beat Heat by 9 wickets

Sydney Sixers which is the current runner up of Australia Big Bash League competition but they are passing very bad time in the ongoing season. The match against Brisbane Heat was the 9th match of Sydney Sixers and including the last match, they just managed three victories. In their last match, Sydney Sixers beat Heat by 9 wickets which seemed an easy victory. It was also the ninth match of Brisbane Heat and also they managed four victories in the season. Both teams are standing on the lower position on the BBL point table. So, they would not get chance to qualify for the knockout phase.

However, it was the last match of round eight and considering the season of BBL, it was the 32nd match which was between Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers. The match was taken place in 18th January, 2018 and Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney was the host venue. Earlier, Sydney Sixers won the toss and decided to bowl first. They made some destructive spell and so, came to bat Brisbane Heat did not able to stand in front of their spell and got all out by scoring 73 runs. They did able to play only 16.4 overs there. Alex Ross was the highest scorer for Heat who scored 15 runs so far. On the other hand, Sydney Sixers did reach the destination in 10 overs. They just lost one wickets. Daniel Hughes scored highest 37 runs for the team Sixers. In the match, Michael Graham-Smith and Geoff Joshua were the field umpires.

Skipper McCullum and Heazlett started the innings for Brisbane Heat but in 10 runs both were gone. Heazlett scored only 10 runs. Most of the players did not able to score two figure runs where Ross was the highest scorer. Besides, Peirson scored 14 runs and Lalor added another 14 runs for the team. By the failure of all players the innings of Brisbane Heat ended up by scoring 73 runs. Abbott took highest four wickets where Lyon and Brathwaite took two wickets each for the team Sixers.

Came to chase such poor score, Denly and Hughes led the team to a great victory but with the openers, they could not get it. Hughes was gone with 37 runs highest. Later, Denly and Maddinson finished the innings in just 10 overs. Sean Abbott was announced as the player of the match due to brillian bowling spell for Sixers.
