After refining the bowling action, Arafat Sunny got permission to enter into the international Cricket. But again his action is under question. Sunny’s bowling action was questioned in BPL along with Caribbean Kevon Cooper.

In BPL Sunny is playing for the Rangpur Riders. Last Wednesday, he even captained the team against Dhaka Dynamites. His action was under suspension during the match against Rajshahi Kings last Monday. The match umpires officially notified the matter to BPL Bowling Action Review Committee, news confirms.

BPL Technical Committee chairmn Jalal Yunus confirmed that their bowling action was questioned.

BCB bowling action committee said that after the end of the tournament, footage of Sunny’s bowling will be analysed and Cooper’s will be sent to West Indies Cricket Board.

Cooper playing for the Khulna Titans has already been questioned for many deliveries in the ongoing tournament. In 2014 IPL and in PCL last year his bowling was officially questioned. For having apprehension about his bowling, Cooper was regular only in franchise cricket. He does not get qualified for domestic leagues let alone national team. Though this 27-year-old player played 148 T20 matches, he played only 2 first class matches and 16 list ‘A’ matches.

Jalal Yunus, chair of the technical committee is the chair of bowling review committee. He said rules will be hardened from next season for bowling action. Sunny and Cooper will be permitted to play rest of the matches since the lack of regulations and lack of technical support, Jalal said.

Yunus also said they will take careful action so that video footage could be analysed during the tournament. List of apprehended overseas player having known problem in bowling action will be sent to the franchisees so that they can be careful before anchoring those players into their teams.

Days were going well for Sunny since his performance was praiseworthy during this season. He has been out of the team since the return from India after last T20 world cup. He then changed his action under team bowling coach and after taking test in Australia, he was permitted to bowl again. After that Sunny though did not play for the national team, but played in first division leagues and domestic cricket.
