Steve Smith had suffered a ‘brain fade’ on field, and now he had a similar moment, off the field too.

The Australian captain was heavily trolled after he mistakenly tagged another woman in a picture of himself with his fiancée Dani Willis on his official Twitter handle.

“Great night out at the @AustralianOpen with @dani_willis we both absolutely love our tennis! Thanks @CraigTiley for having us. What a belter of a match!” he captioned the snap to his 1.2 million followers.

The picture was from the Australian Open – season’s first Grand Slam – where the couple watched the match between Roger Federer and Marton Fucsovics on Monday.

For those unaware, Smith had garnered criticism for seeking signal for a DRS from dressing room after being given out in a Test match against India – an action he later termed as ‘brain fade’.

And, Twitter was not to spare for ‘brain fade’ 2.0. “Seems You’re Still Not Out Of That Brain Fade Moment We Gave You When Your Team Was Here,” one tweet read.

“Wrong call Steve , u should consult to the dressing room,” another user wrote.

We hope your fiancée didn’t mind the gaffe, Steve.
