Sri Lanka won Test series against Bangladesh

Sri Lanka is now in Bangladesh where they are in tight schedule, As stated by the schedule, they are in dual tournament against the local team Bangladesh where earlier, they played a tri nation competition including Bangladesh and Zimbabwe and won the trophy. Now, they have played the first test which was finished with draw. So, all were looking forward to the 2nd and final Test and to win the series, one had to win the last test so far. Finally, Sri Lanka won Test series against Bangladesh by winning the 2nd Test.

Sri Lanka won Test series against Bangladesh

In the first Test along with Sri Lanka, team Bangladesh played also very good and in that case the ground of Chittagong helped them to get a big score. But the second Test which was staged at the Dhaka city where the ground was not much suitable for batsmen and so, both team faced difficulty to present a big score.

Besides, team Bangladesh is a rising team which is getting better everyday and sometimes, they are too much unpredictable. In the last Test against the Lions, they played very poorly and as a result the series was missed.

The 2nd and last test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh started in 8th February, 2018 and this time it was staged in Dhaka at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. In the match, Akila Dananjaya made his Test debut for the Lions. Before the match at the toss session, Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first. Considering the venue, they took the right decision it seemed. But they also faced the unfortunate things. They getting collapsed so earlier before playing the complete first day. They played total 65.3 overs and presented 222 runs in front of the Tigers. Kusal Mendis was the highest scorer for the Lions who scored 68 runs. He faced 98 balls in the match. Abdur Razzak took highest four wickets for the Tigers. He bowled 16 overs so far.

Later, team Bangladesh came to bat for the first innings and showed most poor performance. They were getting all out scoring 110 runs. They played total 45.4 overs which was less than a ODI competition. Mehedi Hasan scored highest 38 runs and remain not out. Akila Dananjaya took highest three wickets for the Lions.

Later, Sri Lanka came to bat for the second innings and this time they scored four more runs than the first innings. They scored 226 runs in 73.5 overs and lost all wickets. Roshen Silva scored highest 70 runs for the Lions and Taijul Islam took four wickets for Bangladesh.

By chasing such poor score, the Tigers failed completely and finished their 2nd innings scoring 123 runs. They played only 29.3 overs where Mominul Haque scored 33 runs. The new player of the Lions Akila Dananjaya took five wickets so far. So, the Lions won the match by 215 runs and won the Test series.
