Sri Lanka scored huge runs in 2nd Test at Dubai

Pakistan faced a terrible and unfortunate defeat at the first Test against Sri Lanka and going to lost the series if can not manage victory in second which is also last Test. But in last Test at Dubai, Sri Lanka scored huge runs and it seems they have moved to the driving position of the test match. The second Test has started in 6th October, 2017 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai which is a day night match. Sri Lanka won the toss and came to bat first and with their destructive batting line up, they dominated Pakistani world class bowlers and scored 482 runs so far. Dimuth Karunaratne scored highest 196 runs for the team and for Pakistan, Yasir Shah took highest 6 wickets so far. According to the last news, Pakistan is in bat and finished the second day with 51 runs in exchange for no wickets. Sami Aslam and Shan Masood are still in field for the team.

However, after beating Pakistan at their home venue, the Lions are in great confidence in second match. They feel free to come to bat and started to dominate Pakistani bowlers since the beginning of the day one. Though, Pakistani top spinner Yasir Shah made a breakthrough very earlier and took Silva in just his 27 individual runs but at the end of the crease, Karunaratne stood still and kept playing. Excluding him, three others made half centuries named Chandimal, Dickwella and Perera. Dickwella played important role like first test. He scored 52 runs so far. Karunaratne started to make partnership with different players and gave his wicket in 6th in number which means, he played with five different players in the match though he was an opener. He scored 196 runs by playing 405 balls. He colored his innings with nineteen 4’s and one six. Chandimal scored 62 runs and Perera scored 58 runs for the team. Herath remained not out with his 27 runs so far.

Pakistani bowlers were quite unsuccessful in that day except Yasir Shah. He took six wickets in 55.5 overs. Amir and Riaz took one wicket and Abbas took two wickets for Pakistan.

Now, came to chase the score, Pakistan has stood still in front of the Lions and lost none till now. Masood and Aslam have come to bat and finished the second day with 15 and 30 runs so far. Now, team Pakistan needs to secure the series by winning the match and to ensure it, they need to make a long partnership but day by day, the pitch nature will change and bowlers would get favour.
