Sri Lanka scored 96 runs in 2nd innings at Dubai

The second Test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan is going on where both teams have completed their first innings. Earlier the match, the Lions won the toss and elected to bat. They made a good decision because according to the pitch, day by day the pitch used to turn to the bowling side and getting runs from that pitch would be very tough. It is proved in the second innings very well. Sri Lanka got all out in just 96 runs. So, they have presented 317 runs target in front of the Green Army.

So, the Lions came to bat and almost dominated the Pakistani bowlers. They scored 482 runs in their inaugural innings where Karunaratne scored highest 196 runs. For Pakistan, Yasir Shah took six wickets so far.

Later, came to chase team Pakistan faced that Pitch already turned to the bowling favoured and getting runs was very tough for the team. They tried and tried. This time Pakistani bowlers made destructive spells on the Lions with the help of pitch nature. Opening partnership was broken in just three team runs. Mohammad Abbas attacked first. Later Riaz took Karunaratne in just 7 runs. Sri Lankan batsmen could not stand in front of the fire spell of the Green Army. They stroke and stroke. Riaz took highest four wickets where Sohail took three and Yasir Shah took two wickets for the team.

However, the bowlers of Pakistan got the complete favour of the ground. Basically, pacers got more advantage from the ground than spinners. Mendis scored highest 29 runs for the team. Now, at the end Sri Lanka has presented 317 runs in front of the Green Shirts and to win the match, they need to cross the score. But their would be big problem to chase it because the same ground problem. Batting would be much tough for Pakistani players. And if they lose the match, they will lose the series as well. Their Test series consists of two matches where in opening Test, the Lions won the match and currently lead the series by 1 – 0.
