Sri Lanka chasing 292 runs target at Dubai

The first ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka has finally started at Dubai International Stadium in earlier today where Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to ball first. Pakistan has scored 292 runs by losing six wicket in selected fifty overs. In return, currently Sri Lanka chasing 292 runs target at Dubai. According to the last news, the Lions has scored just 108 runs by losing six wickets so far. It seems that could not meet the target but would probably get all out before that. Pakistani bowlers are in form today though their top star Mohammad Amir is not in the squad but another pacer Junaid Khan is playing with the team.

However, team Pakistan faced a Test series defeat earlier the ODI series against the same Sri Lanka. They played two Test matches and faced defeat in both times. Which means Pakistan was whitewashed by the Lions in long format cricket. Through the win, Sri Lanka has jumped up in the ICC Test ranking as well.

Again in ODI series, in the first match, toss luck was not with the Green Shirts. They were given bat first but in this time their middle order did their job very well. Though, the Shaheens stumbled at the very first time of the innings. They have lost their one opener in just 11 teams runs. Gamage took the wickets when Shehzad was out with 0 runs by facing 12 balls so far. Later, Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam stood strong though Fakhar could not hold the partnership much longer but was out with his 43 runs. Later, Mohammad Hafeez came to make another partnership with Babar but with his 32 runs, Hafeez was gone by Vandersay.

Shoaib Malik was also in the best eleven though he was not in the Test series. Came to bat, he started to make strike again and again. Their partnership was added 140 runs to the scoreboard. Babar Azam made an incredible century. He finished his innings with 103 runs by playing 131 balls. He played very carefully. On the other hand, Malik was about to make a century as well. but unfortunately gave catch to Dananjaya with his individual 81 runs. He made score too fast. He played just 61 ball. He made five boundaries and two over boundaries in his innings.Captain of Pakistan team Sarfraz Ahmed could not longer his innings but scored just one run and out. At the end of fifty overs, pakistan scored 292 runs by losing six wickets so far.
