South Africa won 2nd Test against India

Team India and South Africa are currently playing a dual series between them where India is travelling South Africa in recent time. CSA has arranged the tournament which consists of Test, ODI and T20I competition. Their official match started with Test in 5th January, 2018 and in the inaugural test, South Africa won the match and lead the series by 1 – 0. Later, in the 2nd Test South Africa won 2nd Test against India. Through the victory, Proteas secured the series by 2 – 0 games. The Test series consisted of three matches and Proteas won first two matches. So, they already won the series against India which has the most balanced and strongest batting line up in the cricket world.

South Africa won 2nd Test against India

The 2nd Test between India and South Africa was started in 13th January, 2018 and this time SuperSport Park at Centurion was the host venue. The test consisted of five days where the earlier of the 1st day, proteas won the toss and decided to bat first. For South Africa, Lungi Ngidi made his Test debut.

South Africa came to bat for the first innings. They played the whole first day and sometimes of the second day. Their first innings finished with 335 runs. They totally played 113.5 overs. Aiden Markram scored highest 94 runs in the match for Proteas. On the other hand, for India Ashwin took four wickets so far.

Later, India started their first innings where Virat Kohli alone played so well and scored highest 153 runs but unfortunately they failed to make lead. They finished their first innings scoring 307 runs in 92.1 overs. Most of their players were failed. However, Morne Morkel took four wickets for CSA.

So, South Africa were in the good position and started their second innings. They also played a little bit well but failed to increase the difference huge. They scored 258 runs in their second innings in 91.3 overs. Proteas also lost their all wickets there. De Villiers scored highest 80 runs for the team South AFrica. Mohammad Shami took four wickets for India in the 2nd innings. Through his wickets, he took his 100th wickets in the test.

Later, in front of India there are some figures to chase. It was less than 300 runs but in the last day when the field was bowling favoured, even for India, it was impossible to chase. Generally they lost their all wickets in 50.2 overs when they scored 151 runs. Rohit Sharma scored highest 47 runs in 74 balls. The new bowler Lungi Ngidi took highest six wickets for South AFrica. So, Proteas got their 2nd victory in the tournament by 135 runs and secured the series.
