Team Bangladesh was led by legendary skipper Mashrafe Mortaza and after his return, the Tigers were so inspired. Mashrafe was not in the Test series. However, in the innings of Bangladesh, they started almost well though absence of Tamim Iqbal who is the top class opener of Bangladesh, Imrul and Liton started the innings. They made 43 runs partnership when Liton Das gone out by Rabada. He scored just 21 runs. Imrul and Shakib tried to stay still but Imrul Kayes was not very better option. He went out in 67 team runs. He scored 31 runs for the team. Shakib could do better but that was not his day. He made couple of shots but unfortunately facing Imran Tahir, he gave catch to the slip and Amla took it easily. Later, Mushfiq and Mahmudullah tried to play carefully but excluding Mushfiq no players were successful yesterday. This Test skipper of Bangladesh finished the innings unbeaten with his extraordinary 110 runs. Mahmudullah, Sabbir, Nasir and new player Saifuddin all tried to make some shots and sometimes they succeeded. AT the end of fifty overs, the Tigers scored 278 runs though earlier it seemed that the score could touch 300 figures. Mushfiq made highest 110 runs and he colored his innings with eleven 4’s and two 6’s.

The Proteas bowlers quite successful yesterday. They successfully tied the innings of Bangladesh earlier though that was batting favoured ground. Rabada took highest four wickets for the team and Pretorius took two wickets so far.

278 runs was not so poor amount and sometimes it seemed that the Tigers bowlers could fight for the win. But the openers of Proteas failed them completely. Since the beginning, Bangladeshi bowlers could not dominate the ground but got no line against Proteas openers. De Kock and Amla opened the Proteas innings and this two remained undefeated till the last. De Kock scored highest 168 runs in 145 balls and and Amla scored 110 runs in 112 balls. The Tigers captain Mashrafe used seven bowlers but no one could make a breakthrough. So, in three matches ODI series, South Africa lead by 1 – 0.
