Shane Warne has spilled the beans on the good and bad times he went through during his fling with Elizabeth Hurley in his book titled No Spin.

The couple began dating each other in December 2010, following which a picture of them kissing each other went viral on the internet. The retired Australian cricketer, however, revealed he went down on one knee while dancing at a nightclub.

“Completely on impulse in the middle of a dance, I grabbed Elizabeth, dropped to one knee and said, ‘I’m not sure about you, but I’ve never got along with any woman as well as I get along with you. I’m madly in love with you. Our kids get along great. How would you like to spend the rest of your life with me?” he wrote.

“Without hesitation, she replied: ‘Of course I would, silly, I’m madly in love with you too. I feel exactly the same. I’ve never got on better with anyone than I do with you either.”

Shortly thereafter their relationship appeared to be in trouble after Warne allegedly sent indecent messages to a married businesswoman.

The tale, however, took another turn as Hurley moved into Warne’s apartment in Brighton before announcing their engagement in 2011.

They parted ways in 2013.

In his book, Warne wrote there was no single or clear reason behind their break-up. But, it could well be because of Hurley signing up for TV series The Royals, reports NZ Herald.

He wrote: “The more you’re apart, the more you ask questions. I got jumpy about the time Elizabeth still spent with Hugh Grant … He is her best friend but they saw each other more when I wasn’t around so, well, you know.”

End of the story? No. They could be back together.

“We still love each other in many ways — we’re not in love, like we were — but I still care for her deeply,” he concludes. “I think we were good for each other and I know that I miss the love we had.”
