Sachin Tendulkar Reveals the Highest Point of his Career

Ever wondered what could be Sachin Tendulkar’s highest point of his illustrious career? The achievements are countless for the legendary Indian batsman is arguably one of the greatest of all time.

Tendulkar may have retired now, but his fondness towards the game will remain ceaselessly immortal. This was palpable when he was named as the Brand Ambassador for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 recently.

Writing for the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) official website, Tendulkar touted India’s World Cup triumph in 2011 as the highest point of his career.

“In defeating top sides like Australia, Pakistan and eventually overcoming Sri Lanka in the final, India emerged as the first nation to win the ICC Cricket World Cup on its home soil,” wrote Tendulkar.

“It was even more special as I had finally been part of the World Cup winning team after 22 years of pursuit,” he continued. “The victory in 2011 was the highest point of my career as a nation unified in its celebrations.”

The 2015 World Cup runs across February-March in Australia and New Zealand.
