Former India cricketer S Sreesanth has opened up on the slap-gate controversy involving himself and Harbhajan Singh, more than 10 years after the incident took place.

In 2008, following Kings XI Punjab’s win over Mumbai Indians in an Indian Premier League game, Sreesanth walked up to Harbhajan and said, “Hard luck.”

Although the incident didn’t appear on live TV, reports claimed Harbhajan had slapped Sreesanth, who was seen crying inconsolably.

And now, the aggressive speedster, who is currently participating in reality TV show Bigg Boss, has revealed what had actually transpired following the match a decade ago.

Sreesanth said Harbhajan didn’t slap him, but hit him with an upside-down fist after he wished him hard luck following Mumbai Indians’ defeat.

Harbhajan was banned from rest of the tournament besides being prohibited from collecting his salary.

Sreesanth, meanwhile, continues to serve a life ban following the infamous spot fixing scandal that rocked the sport back in 2013.
