Ryan Harris Australia's new bowling Coach

Former Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris has joined as his national team’s bowling coach. . Harris was appointed by Cricket Australia (CA) ahead of the upcoming tour of South Africa. CA has confirmed on Friday.

Harris played 51 matches for Australia in all 3 formats, in the last year he retired from all formats of Cricket. Newly appointed bowling Harris will work with Head Coach Darren Lehmann and newly appointed assistant coach David Shaker.

CA since moving to find his successor after bowling Coach Craig McDermott stepped. Harris has been appointed for the tour of South Africa. Though he appointed in the short term, but if the performance is good, he can serve Australia permanently.

The 36-year-old Harris, currently an assistant coach for the national team squad. Last season former fast bowler coached the Under-19 Cricket Australia XI.

Before the series against South Africa, Australia will play a one match series against Ireland at 27th September. The 5 match’s series against South Africa will start 30th September. Rest of The four matches of the series will be, respectively, 2, 5, 9, 12 October.

Harris took 113 wickets in his 27 matches test career. He was quite success in ODI as well. Took 44 wickets in only 21 matches. . Last year, due to a consistency of injuries forced him to retire from international cricket at the age of 35.
