Ross Taylor touched century record: Black Caps won the series against Australia

Team Australia finally lost a ODI series after long time against New Zealand while visiting New Zealand. Today was the last ODI match between New Zealand and Australia which was staged in Hamilton. In the match, New Zealand scored 281 runs by batting first where Ross Taylor scored a brilliant century. To chase the runs, Australia lost their all wickets by collecting 257 runs. So, they were defeated by 24 runs so far. However, through this victory, New Zealand claimed the ODI series successfully by 2 – 0 where 2nd ODI was abandoned due to bad weather. Earlier of the match, New Zealand was one step ahead of Aussie by winning the first ODI and so, Aussie had no other choice but to win the match to draw the series but they could not.

Earlier today, Black Caps started to bat first by winning the toss. But, they stumbled at the beginning of the innings when they lost Latham with 0 run. Later, Brownlie and Williamson took the lead of the team and made almost 70 runs partnership. But, major role was played by Ross Taylor who scored his 16th number ODI century and touched the record of highest centurian in New Zealand team jointly with Nathan Astle. Just four players of Black Caps scored more than 30 runs in the innings where Brownlie scored 63 runs. New Zealand lost their 9 wickets in complete 50 overs and scored 281 runs. Santner played an important role for New Zealand and scored 38 runs in 34 balls. Starc and Faulkner took highest three wickets each for Australia team.

However, to chase 281 runs, Australia started to lose their wickets since 44 runs when Marsh was out with his 22 runs. Team Australia had a most balanced batting line up but due to absence of some regular players in current squad, they became weaker comparatively. THey lost their second wickets Handscomb at the same position of the team. By, losing two wickets consecutively, team Australia was in a little trouble by played with regular style. Their 3rd wickets partnership added almost 70 runs to the scorecard. Aussie was in bad luck because three players ended up their innings with 0 run in that day. So, finally they finished their innings in 257 runs. So, they lost the match as well as lost the series.
