The tournament between England and New Zealand has come to the contesting level. It is an ODI tournament where the tournament consists of five matches. Among first three matches, England won two matches out of first three and so, the local team New Zealand was under pressure. If they lost the 4th match of the tournament, they lost the series. But, in the 4th match local team turned around and brought balance in the game. They won 4th match against England so far. Basically one player Ross Taylor led Black Caps to victory. He made unbeaten 181 runs in 147 balls only.

Now after four matches, England won two matches and New Zealand won also two matches. So, the tournament has come to the equal level by 2 – 2. Now, one match left which will be the undeclared final match.

The 4th match between England and New Zealand took place in 7th March, 2018 at University Oval, Dunedin. Basically New Zealand is the host nation and England is currently visiting there after the trans tasman tri series. Current performance of England is not so impressive where they lost last series against New Zealand and Australia and also lost the Ashes series so far. So, they want some good memory in the tour and they are desperate no doubt.

In the 4th match New Zealand won the toss and let English team to bat first. England came to start the innings and played amazing. They played complete 50 overs and lost 9 wickets so far. So, they finished their innings scoring 335 runs so far. Jonny Bairstow made a century there who scored 138 runs. He took only 106 balls to do the score. On the other side, for Black Caps Ish Sodhi took 4 wickets in 10 overs bowling. By scoring such big figure, England thought to win the match. So, they did not give proper concentrate to their bowling sections. Black Caps took the chance and started to play dominatingly.

They had to play till the last over. In 49.3 overs New Zealand reached the destination. Most of the credits went the their player Ross Taylor who scored 181 runs. In 147 balls he made the score and he could score more runs but the target was achieved. He remain not out till the last. Tom Curran took two wickets for England. However, Ross Taylor took the player of the match award later.
