RCB beat Mumbai Indians by 14 runs

Mumbai Indians is the defending champion of Indian Premier League and also regarded as one of the most successful franchise team here. But in the ongoing season, they are doing very bad. They have already played eight matches but managed only two victories. Their last IPL match opponent was Royal Challengers Bangalore or RCB which is one of the most popular team consists of number of talented players in the squad which is led by Indian national team skipper Virat Kohli. In the match against the defending champion, RCB beat Mumbai Indians by 14 runs.

It was the 8th match of both RCB and Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians managed only two victories by playing eight matches where RCB has won three times. Both teams are under the pressure and wants to secure their position in playoff. Mumbai Indians of MI is in 6th position where Royal Challengers Bangalore is in 5th position on the point table.

In the ongoing season of Indian Premier League 2018, Mumbai Indians and RCB faced against each other twice times already. One at the home venue of MI and other one was at the home venue of RCB. In both times, home venue team won the match. First match was won by MI and 2nd match was won by RCB.

The last match between RCB and MI was the 31st match in the tournament which took place at Bangalore in 1st May, 2018. In the match, the local team lost the toss and came to bat first.

Vohra and De Kock started to bat for RCB in the match. Vohra scored 45 runs in 31 balls. Later, McCullum played well with Kohli. Kohli scored 32 runs and McCullum scored 37 runs so far. Grandhomme made the finishing touch by scoring 23 runs in 10 balls. So, in 20 overs RCB scored 167 runs in exchange for seven wickets so far. Pandya took three wickets where other three bowlers took a wicket each for Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians came to chase the score but opens are top orders failed to make a good score. Duminy scored 23 runs and Pandya scored highest 50 runs for the team. By losing seven wickets in 20 overs Mumbai Indians scored 153 runs so far. They went close to the target but failed. Southee, Yadav and Siraj took two wickets each for the team RCB in the match.
