Pakistan vs New Zealand – After a long period, Pakistan have become one of the strongest teams in Test cricket. Having beaten Australia 2-0 recently, Pakistan continued their sublime form as they have almost pulled off the first Test match against New Zealand in the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday.

Earlier, Pakistan set a healthy 480-run target for the touring team. The kiwis stumbled against the Pakistan bowlers, and were eventually reduced to 174-8 at stumps on Day 4.

Openers Tom Latham (20) and Brendon McCullum (39) joined forces for a 57-run stand. Even Kane Williamson (23) and Corey Anderson (23) could not capitalize on their starts, as Ross Taylor (8), James Neesham (0), BJ Watling (0), and Tim Southee (5) fell cheaply.

However, Ish Sodhi (27*) and Mark Craig (27*) fought their heart out to tip out the match to its fifth and final day.

For Pakistan, Rahat Ali, Zulfiqar Babar and Yasir Shah bagged two wickets each, while Imran Khan and Mohammad Hafeez chipped in with a wicket apiece.

Pakistan will look to finish things off in a jiffy and continue their winning run in the longest format of the game.
