Proteas announced Faf du Plessis as new Test skipper

Everybody wants to replace the Test skipper of South African national cricket which place was belongs to legendary batsman of South Africa AB de Villiers. But, another batsman Faf du Plessis is given temporary captaincy and the reason behind was their regular skipper Villiers was in injury. But from then, all of the board members wants to make Plessis as their permanent captain but that was difficult enough because AB is a great batsman and captain. But this hitter has made this thing simple. He has handed over his captaincy to the new player. And so, the board has announced Plessis as the new Test skipper of the Proteas where they have ahead a Test series against Sri Lanka which will start in next 26th December, 2016 and they are scheduled to play three Test matches.

Villiers failed to visit Australia in last November due to injury and he can not play in next tournament against Sri Lanka as well due to same problem at the home venue. When he has confirmed about his incapability, he does not delay to make his mind and left his captaincy. About his this decision he stated that he always wants to make things according to his team interests.

He added that it was great to lead the Test team but he missed two big tournament due to injury and in the meantime, Plessis led the team to victory and shown amazing capability. So, considering all statistics, he should be the permanent captain of the Proteas.

At the beginning of the year 2016, when Proteas faced England at their home ground, Hashim Amla left his captaincy suddenly and then Villiers was given in charge of this responsibility. He played two match as the in charge skipper and after his amazing success, he was announced as the permanent long format skipper. But unfortunately since then he was out of field due to injury. In the meantime, as a Test skipper, his individual performance was so dim. He played four innings and made zero run three times.

In last Jury during Caribbean Premier League tournament, he fallen into injury and Plessis was given in charge. By his leading, they defeated New Zealand and whitewashed Australia in ODI tournament and Test. Since then his leading was admired throughout the world.
