Michael Slater has apologized after being kicked out of flight reportedly after getting into a heated argument with his two female friends.

According to BBC, the former Australia cricketer was on board Qantas flight from Sydney to Wagga Wagga in New South Wales on Sunday when the incident took place.

Slater allegedly locked himself up in a toilet after the exchange, forcing the crew to eject him for ‘disruptive behaviour’ before the flight took off.

He, however, denied doing so even while apologizing for the distress caused to fellow passengers.

“I did have an argument with two friends whilst boarding a flight to Wagga and I apologise for the inconvenience this caused other passengers on the flight,” the 49-year-old reportedly said.

Slater represented Australia in 74 Tests and 42 One-Day Internationals before retiring from all forms of cricket in 2003.
