Peshawar lost by 5 wickets against Faisalabad

Peshawar and Faisalabad are the two competitor in ongoing season of National T20 Cup which is originated in Pakistan. In Pakistan, the competition used to stage in every calendar year since fourteen years and now the 14th season is going on. It is a domestic T20 league competition where number of teams used to participate. The number of teams used to change in every year. In the ongoing season, total eight participants are competing here where Peshawar and Faisalabad are two among them. In last match between this two teams, Peshawar lost by 5 wickets against Faisalabad. The match was hosted at the selected venue of Rawalpindi named Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The match between them was 26th number matches in the tournament which was staged in 23rd November where Faisalabad won the toss and decided to field first. Peshawar scored 139 runs first and in return, Faisalabad chased the score successfully in selected 20 overs. They had five wickets left in hand.

Peshawar started their innings with captain Rafatullah Mohmand and Israrullah. But in just 1 run, Peshawar lost their wicket Israrullah in individual 0 run. Kamran Ghulam and Bismillah Khan were no better but scored just 5 runs and 3 runs respectively. Obaidullah tried to play well but scored just 29 runs. On the other hand, skipper of the team Rafatullah Mohmand scored highest 32 runs so far. Lower orders added few runs each of them and so, Peshawar finished their innings by scoring 139 runs in 19.5 overs and getting all out. Opponent bowlers were well in the match and except one, each of the took wicket. Taj Wali took highest 3 wickets where Imran Khalid and Saeed Ajmal took 2 wickets each.

On the other hand, openers of Faisalabad Sahibzada Farhan and Gauhar Ali added 50 runs by when Gauhar Ali was out with 30 runs. Later Sohaib Maqsood came up but did not last long and got out by scoring just 9 runs. Opener Sahibzada Farhan scored highest 47 runs for the team. After losing five wickets, Faheem Ashraf and Imran Khalid led the team to victory and remained not out with 17 and 11 runs respectively. They had to play complete 20 overs to reach the destination. Sohail Khan took two wickets for Peshawar. Sahibzada Farhan was announced as the man of the match later.

Faisalabad still left one group stage match which will be against FATA in 24th November, 2017 where Peshawar left none but played all group stage match already.
