Perth Scorchers won by 5 wickets against Renegades

Perth Scorchers is the current champion and most successful team in Big Bash League tournament which have come back to the winning streak once again. In their 5th match, they faced a defeat after winning four matches consecutively. Through the defeat, they lost the top position on the point table. BUt yesterday, the have reclaimed their position again. Perth Scorchers won by 5 wickets against Renegades in their last match in BBL 2017/18.

However, it was their 2nd head to head battle against Melbourne Renegades where in the 1st match, they beat Renegades for the first time in the season. They won 2nd match against the same team as well. However. By winning the 5th match by playing six matches in the season, they are regarded as the most potential team now.

On the other hand, Melbourne Renegades are also one of the top category team in the season where they also played total six matches in the season. Among them they won four times so far. They are ranked in the 3rd position on the point table. If they could manage victory in their last match against Scorchers, they could jump to the top position.

The match between Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Renegades was staged in 8th January, 2018 where Perth Scorchers won the toss and decided to bowl first. The match was hosted at WACA Ground, Perth. They started bowl by losing the toss and in 20 overs, Melbourne Renegades scored 185 runs by losing three wickets. Cameron White scored highest 68 runs and remained not out for Renegades. On the other hand, Perth Scorchers came to chase the score and at the first time it seemed that they lost the match but they did successfully chase the score in 19.5 overs. They lost total five wickets. Ashton Turner scored highest 70 runs for the team Scorchers.

Renegades started to bat with Harris and Finch but in 19 runs Finch as gone. He scored 2 runs just. In 2nd wicket partnership, Harris and White added almost 70 nruns where Harris was gone with 48 runs. White scored 68 runs and his companion scored 57 runs so far. So, their innings finished with 185 runs.

Came to chase the score, Perth lost opener Klinger in 2 runs. Later, Willey and Cartwright played a bit where Cartwright was gone with 22 runs. Willey scored 55  runs and Turner scored 70 runs so far. They made several shots in the meantime. Later Agar and David led the team to victory.
