Pakistan won warm up match by 120 runs

Pakistan cricket team is currently travelling New Zealand where they are schedule to play a ODI series and a T20I series against New Zealand. Their tour competition started in 3rd January, 2018 with a warm up match. It was a ODI warm up competition where Pakistan won warm up match by 120 runs against New Zealand XI. Though, it was not the main eleven of team Black Caps but the Green Shirts did able to start their tour with victory. It seems a great achievement no doubt for Pakistan team.

Pakistan won warm up match by 120 runs

Pakistan will have to play a ODI series against Black Caps where the ODI series consists of five matches. The series officially start in 6th january, 2018. Later, they will also play a T20I series that consists of three matches. So, warm up match was bonus for the Shaheens to adapt the condition of New Zealand. Because their weather is far different than Asia.

The tour match was taken place in 3rd January, 2018 at Saxton Oval, Nelson where New Zealand XI won the toss and let Pakistan to bat first. The Green Army presented a huge target in front of the New Zealand XI where the score was 341 runs. They lost nine wickets. Their top scorer was Fakhar Zaman who made a century there. However, came to chase such big score, in 47.1 overs New Zealand XI was got packet. They score 221 runs. The the local team was defeated by 120 runs. Shadab Khan took highest four wickets for Pakistan.

Pakistan opened their innings with Azhar Ali and Fakhar Zaman. They started very well and in opening partnership, they added 206 runs. New Zealand XI bowlers could not pick them but both of them took retired out. In the meantime, Fakhar Zaman scored 106 runs and Azhar Ali scored 104 runs so far. Rest top orders did not able to score much runs where Babar scored 6 runs, Hafeez scored 5 runs and Shoaib Malik scored just 1 run. Rest middle orders added few runs to the scoreboard and so, their innings finished with 341 runs by losing nine wickets. Parikh took highest three wickets New Zealand XI.

New Zealand XI started their innings very well but their opener could not fight long against Pakistani bowlers. Both of them scored 20 runs each. Davidson scored 54 runs highest for the team and also most of the players did score two figure runs. But, by scoring 221 runs they lost their all wickets.
