Pakistan won by 74 runs at Harare

Zimbabwe Cricket which is also known as ZC is recently arranged  tri nation series consisted of Australia, Pakistan and local team Zimbabwe. The whole tournament executed in Zimbabwe which started in 1st July, 2-18. Pakistan and Australia were the guest teams there. However, the schedule was the two matches Test and three matches ODI series between Australia and Zimbabwe but later, it was abandoned by Zimbabwe players due to their salaries. Later, the tri nation series were executed where in the first match, Pakistan won by 74 runs at Harare against Zimbabwe.

The whole tournament consisted of seven matches including the final where the first match between local team Zimbabwe and Pakistan took place in 1st July, 2018. Just one venue hosted all seven matches in Zimbabwe which was Harare Sports Club, Harare. At the beginning of the first match, Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to bowl first. They played their home venue and they knew the field nature well. So, they took a right decision for them. For Zimbabwe Tarisai Musakanda and John Nyumbu made their T20I debut in the match.

Mohammad Hafeez and Fakhar Zaman started to bat for the team Pakistan. Openers failed to manage a good total jointly but their partnership was broken in 13 runs only. Hafeez scored 7 runs so far. But at the end of the crease, Fakhar Zaman played strongly. He made partnership with Hussain Talat, skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik. He scored highest 61 runs in the game. Captain Sarfraz scored 16 runs, Shoaib Malik scored 37 runs and Asif Ali scored 41 runs so far. AT the end of 20 overs team Pakistan scored 182 runs so far in exchange for four wickets. For Zimbabwe Chisoro took highest two wickets and Chibhabha took one wicket so far.

182 runs eas not easy to chase not even for the local team. So, Zimbabwe started to chase the score but in 1 runs opener Chibhabha was gone. Later, captain Masakadza came up but scored only 7 runs so far. Opener Mire scored 27 runs and Musakanda scored highest 43 runs so far. Just three players made two figure runs so far. In 17.5 overs team Zimbabwe lost all wickets and scored 108 runs. Pakistani bowlers did their job well where Nawaz, Usman, Hasan Ali and Hafeez took two wickets each for the team. Asif Ali was announced as the player of the match later.
