Ben Stocks is one of the heard hitter batsman of English line ups. He had shown his quality against South Africa at Cape Town on the 2nd test of 4 match test series. At the first innings of English he become the 2nd quickest test double centurion. Wither also named some record with him.


After the first day of the match he were unbeaten at 74 runs. Though 74 runs come from 94 balls, he shown his ability and opened his bled at the second day of the test. After the lunch break 204* runs is written besides him just only at 167 balls, but he reach 200 runs milestone only at 163 balls. This is the second quickest century at test. As at 2001, New Zealand batsman Nathan Astal makes double only by 153 balls against England.

Though he lost the chance to become the quickest double centurion of the history, but he become the first batsman to score double as 6th batsman for English. He missed triple century as well but now Stock’s is the most run scorer innings holder of the cricket history. For his 258 run innings from 198 balls he beyond Dog Walter’s 250 runs record of 1977’s.

In the first session of the first day he scored 130 runs and this is the world record to scored more than 123 runs in the first season of a test match. On 1935’s English batsman Less Ames scored 123 runs against South Africa.
