The match between Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire are the match of Royal London One Day Cup tournament 2018. In the tournament total eighteen teams have taken part. The total eighteen teams are divided into two groups North and South. Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire are the teams from North group. They have played already two matches each where both of them won one match each. In their last match where they faced against each other, Nottinghamshire won by 93 runs against Leicestershire.

The match between them took place in 23rd May, 2018 at Grace Road, Leicester. The venue is considered as the home venue of Leicestershire but they failed to win the match. Basically, Nottinghamshire played very well and presented a huge target in front of Leicestershire. Samit Patel who is a star player of Nottinghamshire made a century. He scored 100 runs in 63 balls.

Earlier in 23rd May. team Nottinghamshire faced lost in the toss and came to bat first. Most of the cases the toss winning team used to decide for batting but Leicestershire did not take the bat. So, Nottingham came to bat first.

Chris Nash and Riki Wessels started the innings for Nottinghamshire. Openers added 118 runs jointly where Riki Wessels was gone with 76 runs. He faced 44 balls and scored that runs. Chris scored 56 runs so far. later, Tom and Taylor started to make another partnership where Tom scored 76 runs and Ross scored 25 runs only. Samit Patel made a century and rest players added few more runs so far. In 50 overs team Nottinghamshire scored 409 runs in exchange for seven wickets.

Bowlers of Leicestershire were too expensive. Among them Neil Dexter, Varun and Gavin took two wickets each for the team.

The target was too big to chase for any teams. In 6 runs, opening partnership of Leicestershire was gone. In 13 runs they lost two wickets. Failed to make a good start the team lost in that moment but they tried till the last. Horton scored 35 runs so far. Some players of the team played well where Neil scored 45 runs, Tom scored 69 runs highest and Callum scored 52 runs so far. They played full 50 overs and scored 316 runs by losing nie wickets.

Nottinghamshire used total five bowlers and they got success. Harry took four wickets highest where Jake Ball and Samit Patel took two wickets each for the team.
