New Zealand secured Test series at Christchurch

Earlier New Zealand won the 1st Test against England at Eden Park, Auckland. They got a huge victory over the guest team. But in the second Test, Black Caps about to lose the match but finally did able to avoid lose and the match finished with draw. So, New Zealand secured Test series at Christchurch and it can be called that team Black Caps won the Test series against England.

New Zealand secured Test series at Christchurch

Earlier, before the Test series team England managed a ODI series victory against the local team but in Test cricket, they were lost their luck. The first Test result was a mistake for England where rain suffered them but in the 2nd and last Test, they should have won the match. The second Test between England and New Zealand was started in 30th March, 2018 where Jack Leach made his Test debut with England. In the match Team New Zealand once again won the toss and like the first time, they decided to bowl first. The match was grounded at Hagley Oval, Christchurch. Unlike the first match, it was a day competition.

However, England came to bat for the first innings. They scored 307 runs in their inaugural innings of the 2nd Test. They played complete first day and a little in the 2nd day. Totally, they played 96.5 overs in their first innings and getting all out. But also one of their player Jonny Bairstow scored a century in the match. So, England scored 307 runs there. Tim Southee took six wickets for Black Caps in the innings. Later, New Zealand came to open the innings. In the match, their performance was not like local team but lost all wickets in 93.3 overs. They failed to take lead in the innings but scored 278 runs so far. BJ Watling scored highest 85 runs for the Black Caps where Stuart Broad took six wickets for England so far.

Later, England had a chance to beat Black Caps in the match and came to bat for 2nd innings. They played 106.4 overs in the second innings and declared the match. So, Black Caps had to chase big amount in the match. James Vince scored 76 runs for England. Colin took four wickets for New Zealand in the 2nd innings. To win the match England had to take all wickets of New Zealand but they missed. New Zealand scored 256 runs by losing eight wickets where Tom Latham scored 83 runs highest. So, the match finished with draw and New Zealand has claimed the series against England.
