Multan Sultans is the newest member in Pakistan Super League and joined here for the first time. Earlier, five teams used to compete in first two seasons but hopefully from now on total six participants will compete here like the ongoing season. However, the journey of Multan Sultans is very good and memorable. They won their first two matches in the season of PSL but in the 3rd match, they took stumble. Pakistan Super League is one of the major T20 league competition in the World which is regarded as one of the best competition after IPL and Big Bash League. In every season of PSL, plenty of foreign players used to take part and so, it is getting more popular everyday. People are waiting to enjoy the tournament since long. Now, the 3rd episode is going on and the tournament started in 22nd February, 2018.

Among six franchise teams Multan Sultans and Islamabad United are the two popular teams and this time they have faced against each other for the first time in PSL history. The match was a day/ night competition and at Dubai cricket stadium the match between them was taken place. In 25th February, 2018 total two matches of Pakistan Super league was staged and they were staged at the same ground. It was the 2nd match of the day as well. Earlier in morning the first match was taken place.

However, in 25th February in the ground Islamabad United won the toss and let Multan Sultans to bat first. From the earlier matches, it seems that first bowling team used to win the match in most of the cases. So, Multan Sultans came to bat. They wanted to make a good start under their captain of Shoaib Malik but faced a batting disaster. In 113 runs, Multan Sultans lost their all wickets. They played 19.5 overs where their skipper Shoaib Malik scored highest 35 runs. He played 36 balls and did the score. On the other side, Rumman Raees took three wickets in 3.5 overs in exchange for 14 runs only.

Later, Islamabad United came to chase the mere score but also they faced same batting problem. To achieve the victory, they lost five wickets. Sultans bowlers were very deadly. So, United had to play 17.4 overs where Hussain Talat scored highest 48 runs in 34 balls. He remain unbeaten till the last. Imran Tahir took three wickets for Multan Sultans.
