MS Dhoni Loses Cool on Ravindra Jadeja During IPL 8

MS Dhoni is better known as ‘Captain Cool’ for his unruffled on-field behavior. It, hence, turned out to be an atypical spectacle on the cricket ground, when the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper lost his cool on teammate Ravindra Jadeja during their encounter against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Indian Premier League on Sunday.

CSK were dominating the match up, as RR needed to score 27 runs off the last over that was being bowled by medium-pacer Dwayne Bravo. CSK had an upper hand in the game as all of the RR main batsmen were back in the hut. However, Dhoni seems to be a firm believer of the saying – “Nothing is over, until it really is.”

RR batsman Chris Morris was on strike when Bravo delivered a short-of-a-length ball. Morris pulled it towards mid-wicket, where Dhoni had deployed a quick fielder in Ravindra Jadeja. Unusually, Jadeja took some time to throw the ball after collecting it, as he walked down a few steps before flinging it towards keeper Dhoni, and the batting duo steeled 2 runs of what should have been a single.

Consequently, Dhoni went the unconventional way, starring hard at Jadeja for a long time after the latter got a tad sloppy. The stare you would have never seen from Dhoni; well, at least never on field.
