Mohammad Irfan Named in Pakistan’s 16-Man Squad for Sri Lanka ODI Series

Towering Pakistan fast-bowler Mohammad Irfan is slated to feature in his first essay ever since injuring his hip at the World Cup 2015 after he was named in the 16-man squad for the 5-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.

The Azhar Ali-led is sans some of the big names including injured speed-star Wahab Riaz and the trio of Haris Sohail, Sohaib Maqsood and Mohammad Sami – all three of whom have been ruled out of the tour, as deemed by the selection committee.

The series, comprising of 5 matches, is scheduled to run from July 11-26 before the two teams move on to cross the swords in two T20 internationals.
