India have never lost to Pakistan in a World Cup encounter. In all the five matches between the two teams at the sport’s mega event, India have looked in ominous touch, treating Pakistan like minnows.

This trend will continue to remain unbeaten when the cricket world witnesses another India-Pakistan World Cup clash, believes former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin.

“India-Pakistan is always a big game. We have not lost to Pakistan in the World Cup and that will play on everyone’s minds while going into the match,” Azharuddin was quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror, ahead of the blockbuster encounter that is scheduled to be held at the Adelaide on February 15.

“I believe that India have a good side and if they play well, I don’t think that Pakistan will pose such a big threat,” he added.

India have had enough time to acclimatize to the Australian conditions. However, they are yet to win a game there, which might ponder around their minds.

Pakistan, on the contrary, have not played in Australia in the recent past. Furthermore, they have struggled to find their right combination in this format of the game ever since their star spinner, Saeed Ajmal, was banned for ‘chucking’.
