Mini IPL at September

Two IPL in one year, so far it was whispering at the air, but now it is time to turn into reality. Indian cricket board’s BCCI want to convene a mini IPL on this September.

As a result, BCCI took a new step for T-20 cricket. Mini IPL will be held as Indian Premier League (IPL) format.  BCCI Working Committee members decided on this issue at Dharamsala.

The highest body of cricket, ICC was organized The Champions League every year in September. However, the business was unprofitable in the past two years; as a result, this tournament is closed.

BCCI president Anurag Thakur said if ‘mini IPL’ organized, it will be profitable. It could be organized at India. In September this year, BCCI will host mini IPL. The eight teams of IPL will play here. However, home and away system will not exist in this tournament.  In Small format the tournament will be end within 2 week.

However, BCCI said nothing said where and when this Mini IPL will held. But it will informed in short time after Working Committee meeting.
