Middlesex beat Kent by 70 runs

In Royal London One Day Cup, Middlesex and Kent are the two respective teams which used to take part from the South group. Middlesex and Kent both of them are basically a county cricket club but in limited over cricket, they are known by that name. Organised by ECB, these teams have participated in the season of Royal London One Day Cup 2018 which was started the journey in 2014. The tournament already seen four champions but Middlesex and Kent were not among them. The journey of Kent and Middlesex in the season of Royal London Cup are not good. Both of them faced defeated in their first match. But in the 2nd match they have faced against each other where Middlesex beat Kent by 70 runs.

In the first match, Kent Spitfires faced defeat against Sussex Sharks and Middlesex was defeated against Essex Eagles. But playing two matches, Middlesex won one time finally but Kent yet to manage a victory. They have three matches in hand and to secure their place in next round, Kent must take rest three victories no doubt.

The tournament Royal London One Day Cup is just a result of ECB 40. Earlier, the tournament ECB 40 executed in every season and since 2014, it was replaced to Royal London Cup.

The match between Middlesex and Kent took place in 20th May, 2018 at Brunton Memorial Ground. In the match, Middlesex won the toss and decided to bat first.

Paul Stirling and Nick Gubbins opened the innings for Middlesex. They added 63 runs jointly. Nick scored 23 runs so far. Later, Steve came up and scored more 31 runs. Finally Eoin Morgan came. He with the opener Paul Stirling played well. Paul made a century out there. He scored 125 runs so far. On the other side, Eoin Morgan scored 50 runs. Based on their score, in exchange for nine wickets team Middlesex scored 313 runs in selected 50 overs. Matt Henry and Calum took three wickets for Kent in the match.

Kent also played well. Their players got score in the match. In 39 runs opening partnership was broken. Daniel scored 44 runs. One of their player Heino scored highest 90 runs so far. Besides, Adam Rouse scored 34 runs and Calum scored 31 runs for the team. In 43.5 overs team Kent lost all wickets and scored 243 runs so far. Tom Helm took four wickets for the match winning team.
