Melbourne Stars faced another defeat in BBL

7th season of Australian Big Bash League competition is going on. Already 18 matches of the tournament have finished successfully. These matches are divided into five round where in the 3rd match of round five, Melbourne Stars faced another defeat in BBL.

Melbourne Stars is passing very bad season now and yet to win any single match in the ongoing season. They have played total four matches and lost all four times. On the other hand, their opponent Melbourne Renegades is in great form and in their last match, they defeated Stars and jumped to the top position on the point table. They won four matches in the season where they played total five matches already.

In their last match which was against Melbourne Stars, it was taken place in 6th January, 2018 and host ground was Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne. Melbourne Renegades won the toss and came to field first. Melbourne Renegades let Stars to bat first. Stars made a well start and in their innings they scored 157 runs by losing just four wickets. Ben Dunk scored highest 47 runs. So, came to chase the runs, Renegades played 17.5 overs and reached the destination. Mohammad Nabi scored highest 52 runs where renegades also lost four wickets totally.

It was the 19th match of the tournament where Melbourne Stars came to bat with Wright and Dunk. They failed to make a good start where in 18 runs Wright was gone. But in the 2nd wicket partnership between Dunk and Pietersen, they added almost 70 runs to the scoreboard. Basically, these players played well but took much ball comparatively. Pietersen scored 40 runs and Dunk scored 447 runs. Later, Maxwell came up and joined with Stoinis. Both of them played well where in last ball of the tournament, Maxwell was gone who scored 33 runs. In 20 overs, they scored 157 runs by losing four wickets. Their score was so good to chase and if they did able to bowl well, they could win the match. Nabi, Richardson, Bravo and Wildermuth took one wicket each for Renegades.

Melbourne Renegades came to bat with Harris and Finch but they stumbled at the beginning. Harris was gone by scoring 8 runs. Later in the 2nd wickets partnership between Finch and White, they added few runs when Finch was gone with 43 runs in 22 ball. White scored 35 runs and Nabi scored 52 runs in 30 balls. They took shots plenty of times and so, by losing four wickets, they reached the destination.
