Melbourne Renegades managed 2nd victory in BBL

Melbourne Renegades is one of the top competitor in Big Bash League and in the new 7th season of BBL, they are in great form. They started the season with victory over Hobart Hurricane. Also, they are keeping their winning streak and in the last match, Melbourne Renegades managed 2nd victory in BBL against Brisbane Heat.

That was the 6th match of the season of Big Bash which was staged in 23rd December, 2017. It was hosted at Docklands Stadium, Melbourne. In the match, Melbourne Renegades won the toss and decided to bowl first. They let Brisbane to bat at the beginning. Brisbane Heat which franchise team also started their journey in the ongoing season of BBL with victory against Melbourne Stars but by batting first, they scored just 132 runs by losing eight wickets. Alex Rose scored highest 48 runs for Heat. On the other hand, Melbourne Renegades has the previous experience to chase big score in BBL competition and so, 132 runs seemed very poor in front of them. They successfully chased the score in 18.4 overs. Tom Cooper scored 52 runs and remained not out in the match for Renegades.

However, Brisbane Heat was decided to bat first and opened their innings with Peirson and McCullum where former Black Caps player was the captain of the team. But both of them were failed. Peirson scored 12 runs where McCullum scored only five runs so far. Later, Heazlett came up and scored only 11 runs. Top orders were failed and so, middle orders took the responsibilities where Ross played carefully and made number of shots. But only him could not did much for the team where most of the players were failed in the match. He scored 48 runs where his nearest companion scored 20 runs so far. Finally they did able to play whole 20 overs but in the meantime, they lost eight wickets and scored only 132 runs. Wildermuth took three wickets tops where Hogg and Bravo took two wickets each for Renegades.

On the other hand, openers of Melbourne Renegades were also failed where Finch scored 8 runs and Harris scored 9 runs so far. But Later, White and Cooper made a strong bond and led the team to the victory. Both of them touched half century milestone each where White was out with his 51 runs and Cooper remained not out with 52 runs. They lost just three wickets and reached the destination in 18.4 overs. Shadab Khan took two wickets and Cutting took one for Heat. Jack Wildermuth was announced as the player of the match for destructive bowling spell.
